The purpose of this documentation on creating/editing macros in QLM is to provide a comprehensive guide for users on how to effectively utilize QLM's macro features. The documentation serves to educate and inform users on the functionality and capabilities of the software, while also providing step-by-step instructions on how to create and edit macros. Ultimately, the goal is to help users increase productivity, minimize errors, and maximize their investment in the software.

  1. Locate the macros folder in your QLM installation files. All shortcut definitions are located in the file “macros.qcl” in the \base directory of the installation.
  2. Create a copy of the QCL file and paste it in any desired location outside of the Installation files folder.
  3. Make changes to the file as needed with any text editor such as Notepad.
  4. Open the desired repository and click on "Show all templates".
  5. Find the "QualiWareSetup" option and create a new one.
  6. In the "commands" field, paste the macro and click "Run".
  7. Click "Apply" and "OK".

 The macro file should now be updated for this certain repository.
