# Configure Automatic Notifications

## Cut follow-up emails by using a clear, reusable notification template that tells people exactly what they need to do.

1\. Create a Notification Template.

Go to Repository → Notification Templates → New.

Add:

- - Subject line (e.g., “Action Required: Review Pending”).
    - Body text describing what the recipient must do.
    - Optional variables (object name, owner, due date).

2\. Attach notifications to transitions.

In the workflow, open a transition (e.g., Send for Review) and link your new notification template so emails trigger automatically.

3\. Use Governance Action Lists if needed.

These let you combine multiple automated tasks (actions, scripts, and notifications) that run together when a transition occurs.
